Squan Tavern traces its start to 1964, when a couple began serving pizza and sandwiches from a corner at the back of a Manasquan bar of the same name. The site says the owner brought recipes from his Italian parents, who spent most of their lives in the restaurant business.
The restaurant is on Broad Street and lists menus, drinks, catering, online ordering and gift cards. Posted hours run later on Fridays and Saturdays, and a virtual tour of the dining rooms is available on the site.
