Belmar's beachfront is managed by the borough's Beach Department, whose office is inside the Taylor Pavilion at 5th and Ocean Avenues. The office operates from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day, depending on the weather. Badges are required on the beach and are sold at the pavilion and at beachfront booths, which do not accept cash.

The borough lists a daily badge at $12 per day, with children 13 and under free. Seasonal badges are $80, or $32 for seniors 65 and over and qualifying disabled individuals, and all sales are final. Active military members and their dependents enter free with an Active Military ID, as do Gold Star family members and U.S. veterans with ID showing veteran status.

Enforcement runs 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM on weekdays and 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM on weekends and holidays, starting Memorial Day weekend. The beach site also carries pages on ADA beach access, paid parking rules, tide information and ocean conditions, and beach weddings.
