Bayside and oceanside beaches on the Sandy Hook peninsula in Gateway NRA, with seasonal per-vehicle parking fees and seasonal dog rules.
Gardens & Farms · Port Monmouth
Monmouth County park on Sandy Hook Bay with a fishing pier, about a mile of beach, salt marsh and the early-1700s Seabrook-Wilson House.

Bayshore Waterfront Park sits next to Monmouth Cove Marina on Sandy Hook Bay, with views toward the New York skyline. It has a fishing pier, about a mile of beach, and a mix of maritime shrubland, tidal creeks, salt marsh and dunes. Anglers 16 and older need a free NJ Saltwater Angler Registry registration.
The Seabrook-Wilson House, one of the region's oldest surviving houses, dates to the early 1700s and was built in phases over about 200 years. The county acquired it from Middletown in 1998 and restored it. The open house runs Mondays, Thursdays and Sundays from May 3 to October 29, 1 to 4 p.m., though tours and exhibits are unavailable during repairs.
A beach renourishment project is underway and expected to continue until March 2027, so beach access is limited and the Main Street lot is closed. The park opens at 7 a.m. daily, year-round.
