Longstreet Farm is a living history site inside Holmdel Park, where Monmouth County Park System staff recreate farm life as it was in the 1890s. Hendrick Longstreet assembled the original 495 acres in 1806. In the 1890s it was a general farm worked by tenants, growing grains and potatoes and raising livestock with horse power, which the county notes was old-style for the time.

The county bought the farm in 1967 and opened it to the public in 1972. The 14-room farmhouse was built in three sections between 1775 and 1840 and restored to its 1890s appearance.

The grounds are open daily from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. from Memorial Day to Labor Day. The farmhouse is open to the public on weekends and holidays from March through December, noon to 3:30 p.m., or by reservation. Upcoming activities are posted on the farm's page.
